OUR CLASSES

Love 1 & 2 (Creche)

LOVE 1 & 2 (CRÈCHE)

Our Love rooms are for our delicate 3-18 months old children.

To address the peculiar needs of this group of children, we have Love 1 for our immobile infants (3 months – 8 months) while Love 2 accommodates our mobile infants (8-18 months)

The Love room is equipped with a diapering station with a germ free changing   mat to ensure that the diapering process is hygienic.

To encourage breastfeeding, we have a dedicated fridge for the children’s breast milk. We also have a dedicated food preparation area for the preparation of the children’s meals.

To foster independence, which is a key philosophy of the Montessori Method, we have low beds where the children can crawl in and out of for their naps. The beautiful wall murals and low hanging mobiles also provide a tranquil setting for peaceful slumber.

Our high ratio of adult to child ensures that each child receives plenty of individual attention and unlimited hugs and cuddles.

In the Love Room, children do not follow a strict routine and all children are encouraged to learn through a wide variety of experiences.

Daily records are given to parents.

Alpha Class (Toddler Class)

Alpha Class (Toddler Class)

The children in this group are vibrant 18 months -3 year olds. The children follow the Montessori infant toddler curriculum where the Montessori Directress guides children to materials that are age-appropriate and self-correcting. The curriculum includes activities for fine and gross motor control and coordination, sensorial and practical life exercises, language development, numeracy, social awareness and understanding of the world, music, art and movement. Beginning with practical and social skills, children learn to keep track of their belongings, to put things away, share materials and learn basic life skills such as dressing and cleaning up. During their time with us we aim to put all the small steps in place which can help our children to be secure, happy, keen and confident learners. We encourage development by operating a carefully designed programme of activities which includes a lot of physical movement and language development because we know that children In this room are in the sensitive period for perfecting their movements and acquiring language. Children have loads of fun with story time and nursery rhymes. The overall aim for the Alpha class is “A fun and stimulating playing and learning environment which matches activities to age and ability and allows children to develop at their own pace, investigate their interests and have fun in a safe and secure environment.” Children flourish in fresh air so we endeavor to spend as much time as possible outdoors and this involves structured activities free play.

Omega Class (Nursery Class)

Omega Class (Nursery Class)

In this group are our confident 3-6years olds who would soon be ready to continue their learning discoveries in elementary school.

In addition to introducing the children to a more structured approach to learning, the children are encouraged to adopt practices and behaviours which will equip them well in preparation for their transition to elementary school.

When you walk into this class, you will observe children busy and interested in various activities. One child is counting beads and solving a mathematical problem, another is engaging in pouring exercises and others are engaged in writing and reading, while in the corner of the room a small group of children are being introduced to a new activity.

Academics are introduced through concrete, manipulative materials which utilize all five senses and lay the ground work for abstract thinking.

The goal of this class room is to help the child develop mastery of self and environment, self –discipline and social competence. Using methods and materials developed by Dr, Maria Montessori, the teacher provides a sequence of tasks sufficiently challenging and interesting to engage the child. These tasks or exercises are broken down into the following areas of learning;
